Essay, Art and Poetry Competition for World Wetlands Day 2009 (WWD), in Guyana
 
A Call for Submissions
 
In observance of WWD, celebrated annually on February 2, WWF Guianas is hosting an Essay, Art and Poetry Competition.
This year’s theme is: Upstream-Downstream: Wetlands connect us all. The Competition is open to children within four categories: 5 to 8 years, 9 to 11 years, 12 to 14 years and 15 to 17 years
All submissions should focus on this year’s theme. Essays should not exceed 1000 words; artwork should be done on any paper size up to 36 inches x 36 inches; Poems should not exceed 200 words. Prizes to be presented for the winning pieces of each category
Submissions should be sent to:

Submissions should be labeled with the title of the piece on the front page, and the back page Authors name, Age, School attending, home address and contact number.
