The current emergence and spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) around the world have placed the lives of people at risk. More so, with the recent confirmed cases in Guyana and Suriname and measures being announced by relevant authorities, WWF-Guianas as part of our responsibility towards reducing the spread of COVID -19, has taken the decision to enter into flexible working arrangements for our Team. This means our offices locations will not be opened as we will working remotely for a period of 30 days, beginning Tuesday March 17, 2020 until April 16, 2020. This temporary work arrangement is subject to review as the situation unfolds.
We have put systems in place that would ensure our teams remain fully capable online, while maintaining their work programmes.
We have suspended all field visits and public events/engagements during this period. We are however available virtually and encourage virtual meetings wherever possible. We will follow the advice of the relevant local authorities and government to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
All general enquiries can be sent to info@wwf.sr or by calling WWF-Guianas respective office contact numbers which you will find below. For more specific queries and engagements kindly please reach out to our respective team members via email or through already established means.
WWF-Guianas sees the well-being and health of our staff, partners, and all members of our society as a priority. We encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions as advised by local authorities, and to take care of each other, our friends, families and those in our sphere who may need the support.
